Who are The Maker and The Bear?

We are a husband-and-wife team, passionate about creating beautiful, purpose-driven products. We believe in thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and conscious consumerism.

How can I maximise the shelf life of my blooms?

We select only the highest quality blooms to ensure a lasting arrangement. With a little care, you can help them thrive for days to come.

  • Prep the Stems: Once you receive your bouquet, immediately trim about one inch from the bottom of each stem at a sharp angle. This creates a larger surface area for water absorption. Use sharp secateurs or a knife to avoid crushing the delicate stems.

  • A Clean Vase is Key: Before arranging, give your vase a thorough wash with warm, soapy water. Bacteria are the biggest enemy of cut flowers and can shorten their life significantly.

  • Water Wisely: Fill your clean vase with fresh, cool water. We recommend changing the water every two days. Each time you do, give the stems another quick trim.

  • Location, Location, Location: Display your flowers in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and ripening fruit. Fruit releases ethylene gas, which can cause flowers to wilt prematurely.

  • Prune as Needed: Check on your arrangement daily. Remove any leaves that fall below the waterline and discard any flowers that have passed their prime. This keeps the water clean and allows the remaining blooms to flourish

Do you offer gift wrapping?

All our products are thoughtfully wrapped and presented to create a special unboxing experience. We also offer beautiful handwritten notes for that personalised touch.

Yes, we offer delivery nation wide. You can check if we deliver to your suburb by entering your postcode at checkout.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Absolutely. You can select the local pickup option at checkout and collect your order from our Perth studio during our regular business hours
